Join us as Kimmy Bazan leads us through the basics of creating our very own tamales. Tamales are a food of comfort, celebration, and nourishment through Latin American and Indigenous cultures. In this workshop Kimmy will guide us through how to perfect your tamales. What consistency you should look for, how to properly fill them and wrap them as well as having tamales for you to taste. While your tamales cook you will create a tamale ornament to commemorate your lesson and then we will have a community table for conversation and tasting the tamales Kimmy brings.
Participants will leave with 3 tamales each perfect for freezing and serving on Noche Buena.
